But not all cyclists wear lycra and cycling shoes.

Lol, no we are shorts and flip flops kind of cyclists, the other cyclists drawn upon us!!

Yes, Sparky, I agree.

It was only a polite way of warning cyclists that they should be prepared in case they are not allowed in without adequate clothing and footwear.

Having said this, it would take a braver man than me to cycle there and back from and to the main road, especially the last bit after the entrance gate. Will be interesting to find out how our bike friends get on.

I've cycled it a couple of times, bumpy, but doable.

In London i'm a member of the Tate, the Royal Academy and the Royal Opera House and turn up to each in (discrete) lycra and shoes that aren't too noisy!:D

We finally made it here today, after many false starts over the years. It’s actually not difficult to find, just follow the purple signs and keep going (if you play golf at Alcanada, it’s the road that runs along the right side of the 2nd and 3rd holes. Prob a 20 minute drive from PP). Tuesday afternoon is free entry to the Ninos exhibition and sculpture park. It’s a really relaxed and cool place, and today was a nice taste for a longer visit.

Just for clarity - although it is close to the Alcanada golf course, there is no road access from the Alcanada side. Road access is via Mal Pas

Thrilled that you made it there. We had hoped to get there in the summer but time ran away from us. Definitely will be there during the school Easter holiday weeks.

Finally got there today (by car, no lycra!).

What a fantastic place. And a lovely sunny day for wandering around the sculpture garden.

We did the house as well, expensive at 25 euros each for the two, but well worth it.

Highly recommended.

Glad you enjoyed it. The house tour is expensive but well worth it, as you say.

Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas visited here yesterday according to the MDB.

We visit often and we are always amazed by it. Even our grandchildren enjoy it, especially the "creepy" shoe.

After their daughter died aged 19, Yannick and Ben Jakober began amassing 165 paintings of children at their Mallorca museum - many with similarly tragic family stories attached

...

see full article about the story behind the museum and pictures on the Guardian website (link above) and the museum website

Went a few years ago and it is most certainly worth a visit

Its not cheap is it?

76 euros for a couple to visit. 😮

Can't judge, whether the guided tour to the Hassan Fath House is worth it, as we only did the 'Nins/Sokrates galleries + Sculpture Park and OlivArt' option and thought that was great value for the visit.

Someone else might have info about the guided tour.

As an aside, if attending the museum by taxi, it's probably best, not to go on market days. I do remember having to wait quite a bit for a taxi for the return journey and I seem to recall, it was because of the market in Alcudia.

We visited this museum today….an extraordinary place! Not cheap as someone else has said. We reckoned the guided tour of the house the best part of the visit. A complete mix of artwork…lots of African influence and an interesting story behind the whole place. Overall I would say worth a visit…. I took a few photos, but think the attached reflects the quirky style….North African courtyard garden with high heel shoe!😉 oh, and great view across Alcudia Bay.
