The sit in kebab place and the ice cream parlour on the opposite corner to BK is currently being refurbished to be a new Dakota, no shortage of tex mex places for this year :/

Yes but i am told it will not be an obvious Dakota Tex-Mex, it will be more up market like the small one at the start of the Pinewalk .

We loved the kebab shop! My daughter's devastated ..she loved a sheesh on the way home after a late night, and have to confess to having the odd one myself on a night in

Selfishly it was my favourite place for a late nite snack too

Used the wee kebab shop next to bonnys on a couple of staggers home at Xmas an was fine to be fair to the guy

My main concern though is for the very good small businesses around there atm, I'm sure they are concerned too

I only frequent Citrus from the above, doubt very much if the standard of cuisene served at a Tex-Mex will trouble the quality served by Citrus. Indeed business may increase if people wish to compare.

Thats surprising news as the Kebab has always had a good following with the locals and business was good. Another tex mex..... it was good when it was just Nicos. Poor Puerto Pollensa.

I agree JMD, it was fine when it was just Nicos whose food and service has always been excellent, the same can't be said of Dakota, the couple of times we have eaten there the food and service has been poor!

People makes there own choices, but i always feel a bit sorry for people when i pass one of these establishments knowing that, for less money there's far, far better available in the Port, it seems reasonably cheap, but the final bill, ain't! Anyway, if people are quite happy to scoff food/ "fresh" ingredients that have been pre-packed in a central location in Muro the day before, then delivered to the individual restaurants , then that's their choice.
