Jamie i know you read the Forum so I hope you see this.
In April I brought my daughters along for a meal and another time we were joined by some really nice friendly people.
Anyway Jamie on both occasions you served a a Tapas dish. My daughters fell in love with your potatoe and tuna salad dish. The want to recreate it but I can't find it in any of my cookbooks.
I know this is cheeky but could you please send me your recipe to my EZ mail box? You would make atleast 3 female fans of yours so very happy.
And remind me what that fire waters was called:rollin
Take care.

o lume

This restaurant is one of my favourites and i have eaten here on many occasions in the past.

That tapa dish you are talking about is delicious. and goes so well with the flavoured butter and fresh rolls. Not forgetting the home made chocolates which are fabulous too.

Re: o lume

Welcome to the forum Flamencodancer. I'm so glad to see someone else who loves O'Lume.
Like you my daughters loved the flavoured butters and hot bread not to mention the fried milk that was ment for me!(did I remeber to thank you Jaime?) and the chilled homemade chocolates were to die for (the white ones are all mine girls!!!!!:lol )
Thank God they left their poor old dad their Heirbes Mmmmmm not to mention the bill:lol but not to worry it really was very reasonable for what we had.
Two fantastic family meals one with an extended family :lol that will live in our memories for many years.
Watch out Jaime all "The Girls" are returning to see you soon and without me:\
Take care.

Please non't tell the world about this fab place ! .. i may not get a table next week !!
good job its hard to find.

PS Rob what is this fire water ? am i missing something ?

I think apart from Jaime I must be the only person on here that really wants to see O'Lume packed. I love the atmosphere in a resturant when it's buzzing and I really think O'lume will be fun packed to the rafters!
Beachfun the "firewater" is a little joke, but I'm sure Jaime could sell you some if you asked him nicely;)
Take care.

Can I just say what a wonderful place this is and it should be full to busting each night, if not with people the food will do it.

:hat

O Lume is by far the best restaurant I've been to in PP.

Snowy 2 newbie???????

What happened to the original Snowy? Is Snowy 2 his sequel, shadow or an evil nemesis?

Stay tuned . . .

Hi

I feel terrible I promised Jamie I would post about his restaurant weeks ago. I had such a wonderful welcome from him.
We had a fantastic meal there at Easter. Food was excellent although I wished I had ordered the chicken which tasted amazing when I pinched some of my daughters, and my youngest had a fantastic childs steak and she even ate all her vegetables and loved the tapas to begin with. Can't quite remember exactly what was in it but lots of salady things.

An enjoyable night.

Would definetly recommend it.

So glad you enjoyed your meal in O'lume Pops, I really like the meat kebaps. Must try the steak next time.
You should try the fried milk next time I'm sure she'd love it. Jamie will be pleased you've kept your promise and reviewed his place and what a good review and not one mention of Tango! :lol
Sorry about that but you know I'm only teasing;)
So many great reviews, if you've not been yet just look at what your missing!. See you there next time;)
Take care.

re: O lume

O Lume was fantastic but Tango know they will always be my favourite. Even Jaime commented on that.:p

Re: re: O lume

I am sure you both had a wonderful meal the food is very good as I said last year.

Robjay,

can confirm the T-Bone is historic! I asked Jamie about it, he started to explain but i'm afraid he lost me after 10 mins :lol

cos of all the faveraves, we visited o lume for the first time on sunday night. and it was everyhting you all said ....and then some.
Jamie was terrific. Neither of us are big eaters and on his recomendations, we had the half portions, but even at that we were full. And I so wanted to try the fried milk.
Then Jamie produced a small potion of it, with 2 spoons, just a taster, for my husband and me to share!
It wasn't just the food, it was the information that Jamie supplied about the dishes, the recommendations (food and wine) and his GSoH
Sadly, we were the only diners for most of the evening, later on 2 ladies arrived for dinner....but I think that would have been it for the night.
We will be back !

Hi Med!

So you're a convert too now! Glad you enjoyed.

Enjoyed our chat recently.

Bonnie Scotland is looking particularly Bonnie today with 25 degrees to come!

Porto:D

Well done Med glad you enjoyed O Lume it is all we said it was right.

Jamie is one of the nicest people you could meet (Jamie now your going Red) very helpful.

I think its a shame more people dont go there to eat but word will get around, then we will have a job to get a table.

Just returned this weekend from a superb 2 weeks in PP.

Went to O Lume a couple of times and I must say I thought it was getting busier. I think a lot of locals have now found it and appreciate the price and quality. However the trouble with locals is that they tend to eat later than we holidaymakers - we arrived at about 9pm to only 6 people but by 10.15 it was nearly full.

Needless to say Jamie was his usual friendly self and seems totally unflustered even when busy.

O Lume is fantastic as we have stated before and Jamie is the perfect host, but we always notice when we are there whether it's busy or quiet Jamie's always seem's to be their on his own. We always joke that he takes our order then pop's into the kitchen and prepares the meal. :eek :lol :lol
Now we all know he's good but sure'ly he's not that good.:rolleyes :rolleyes :lol
I know he will laugh at this as we've asked him this before, so come on one and all keep those recommendations rolling in.

WELL, IVE ONLY GOT FOUR MORE WEEKS BEFORE I GET TO P.P, WILL DEFO TRY O LUME, AS LONG AS I CAN FIND IT.. AND IM SURE TO FIND SOME OTHER GREAT PLACES TO EAT..
MARK.
