Resorthoppa Improved Service

Last year TheFussies had very unfavourable experiencies with Resorthoppa. Pleased to report that service was back to normal this year. A new record was set for us from doors openning on the plane, collecting luggage and wheels rolling on the coach 45 minutes and in the port at apartment in a further 55 minutes. Would have struggled to better those times by taxi!

Return journey was also an improvement with no more of the 2+ hours waiting on check in desk to open. Coaches arrived either on time or within 5 minutes of stated times for all three return journies of our party. Will use again:)

Still pondering options...we are staying in Palma then travelling to PP on Saturday 28th, family of 4, kids self sufficient (ish!). So public bus right to Llenaire seems a no brainer. Was planning on doing the same in return but thinking it through, the change in Palma, waiting around, luggage, feeling down about coming home etc we are re thinking the return. So resort hoppa is a one way option, how frequent do they run from the port to the airport?

URI i don't think Resort Hopper operate on a timetable as such, it's more like supply and demand and they tell you your pick-up time when they know how many users they will have and what times their flights are :).

Thanks Sparky, think we'll stump up for a taxi return, squeeze every last minute on the beach (or maybe at Laguna).

as arriving on my own on fri 20th a wee last minute descision no point in renting a car or going by taxi, using RH for the 1st time so hope it goes ok

Hi Gordon, we used the resorthoppa this visit for the first time and found it very good. From landing to arriving in Pollenca took 2hrs which I thought was very good the driver even dropped us off close to our finca and we walked home which saved us getting a taxi from the port. We go home today back to the rain:( hope you have a great break!

We used them 2nd July. Landed at 10.30am and dropped in PP at 12.15. Couldnt fault them. Return journey same. 2nd last pick up. In airport 2 hours before flight. Couldnt fault them and would use them again.

I use them almost every week and through the Summer we have Family and friends visit who use the hopper its great

We also used Resorthoppa for our recent trip and had no problems whatsoever. From landing to apartment in under 2hrs. Return pick-up on time and at airport 2 hrs before our flight. Hopefully all will go smoothly for you gers1873.

thanks for that linda puts my mind at rest, once again my lot will miss you by a few days again :( catch up another time with you and tim, my flight lands at 09 50 so plenty time to kill i suppose, hopefully get to pp just in time for lunch and a small sherry :p

We used Resorthoppa for the first time this year too and everything was fine. The only thing that annoyed me was that I made 2 separate bookings as our son and daughter were travelling home earlier than us and I had to pay £1.50 for each booking for the ubiquitous debit card fee. I made another booking for our other son who also left at a different time on Shuttledirect really just to compare and they were a couple of pounds cheaper, made no charge for debit card and were just as efficient. The most interesting thing is that their local agents are the same, Viajes Urbis. Initially I was unhappy when I discovered this as our transfer last year was with Viajes Urbis (not booked through Resorthoppa or Shuttledirect) and they were very late and we almost missed our flight but all was well this time. I will probably use Shuttledirect next time as I really resent paying the debit card fee, especially having to pay twice as there seemed to be no facility for 2 bookings with one payment.

I recently made a booking with Resort Hoppa and the price came up with 0.00 as booking fee so the total ws 27 Euro. But when I checked my credit card statement i was charged 29 Euro!

excellent service no probs at all, when arriving at airport i was even put on an earlier bus as i was on my own and didnt have to wait 40 mins for another :)

info regarding resort hopper

Just to make people aware about Resort Hopper. Our party of four all used Resort Hopper from the airport to Puerto and Pollensa and we only waited about 20 mins before it set off, however it was a different story for the return trip. My son and girl friend returned after one week and waited for the Hopper at the given time. After half an hour it had not arrived and having tickets for one of the Olympic finals, the following day, began to panic. We tried phoning their emergency number but no reply. We had taxi numbers with us and quickly called one for them, which arrived within 5mins. When we used Resort Hopper the following week it was only 10mins late.
I feel that Resort Hopper can be very hit or miss and that always have a back up of taxi numbers available in case it does not turn up.

This is awful Micky! The many times we have used Hoppa we have found them to be very good. You do need to call or email to confirm the return a couple of days before. Did your son do this? I wonder too if the booking if made under one, confused them and they thought you were all returning together. Whatever the reason this was a worry and of course expensive!
I hope that this has been reported to the company as it is important that they are aware that for some the experience is not a good one.

Don't know the circumstances in this case, but i'd always advise people to turn up about 20 mins before the allocated time, sometimes they're late, but they can be quite sharp and the drivers don't hang about, or (wrongly) assume people have made their own way to the airport.

All I can say is I use them every other week for myself and on a weekly basis for friends and family out visiting from May to October and never had a problem at either end personally I think its an awesome service. I think you were very unlucky or some wires got crossed. You should contact them and if it was an error by them they should give you the Taxi money back

I can confirm that my son booked in on line the day before and that he and his girl friend turned up fifteen minutes before the set time. Also it cannot be a mess up with the booking as we had two separate bookings with them. I have contacted them and they are looking into it. I would certainly use them again for getting from the airport to Puerto Pollensa but i think I would book a taxi now for the return journey.

This happened to us on a return trip to the airport but when I checked the time they had given me, I have to admit it was me that had got it wrong!:o Never had any problems since.

i have now used them twice and only on the arrival to palma on both occasions we sat on the bus for over 45 mins waiting on other passengers to arrive but on the pick up from the resort back to the airport and on both occasions they arrived 5 mins early . honestly sitting for 45 mins is a small price to pay for a transfer as the differance is a taxi there and back is a decent meal out for the family it a no brainer
