It's a very nice walk and must be even better off season when it's not so hot.

My 11 year old daughter has already 'booked' this walk for two weeks time. She wants to see if her cairns are still on the beach which she built last October!

Walked it last Fri, stunning warm,peaceful. Just the 2 of us and a kid goat bleating for it's mammy. I go over every time i'm in PP and never tire of it.

I have been meaning to do this walk but not sure of the route.I will be in PP from the 20th July-6th August if any one would like to meet for an early morning walk.

We intend to do this walk, is it easy to follow? We are quite used to family walks so heat and distance shouldnt be a problem (always good to have plenty of drinking water). Looking forward to it (will make a nice change from Macclesfield Forest!)

Yes it is easy to follow and an ideal way to spend a few hours away from the crowds on the coast, take plenty of fluids, a picnic and your swimming stuff, an unspoilt haven which is even better after the winter clean up by the local environment groups. The walk is signposted form the bypass, head up past the school and the start is at the roundabout. This is what is waiting at the end of the walk....

Done it scores of times, it's a great walk and not very difficult, when i was over in March there was guys running up and down the mountains, superb fitness.

As a former fell runner I have been doing this trek for over 20 years gradually getting slower now down to a gentle jog, firstly, don't worry about the dogs at the farm ,walk on they are tethered.
Secondly the solid rock mountains on either side of the walk seem to hold the heat like nowhere else on the island so early morning or late afternoon.
Thirdly the bay seems to attract a serious influx of jellyfish both my son & I were stung heavily last year, before entering water scrutinise water from rocks the jellys are visible,little brown buggers.
The pluses are virtually no people, beautiful walk,fantastic feathered birds, & a well earned swim in paradise at the end.

Also friendly goats ( possibly too friendly if you have food and you are the only people there)

Look at the February blue sky, visit in the winter as you might like it.

Great pics Mark, mine was from January with the same beautiful blue sky as was as blue sea which was warm enough for a quick swim as well!
